- identifying details of vulnerable individuals, such as victims of crime or harassment, unless there is a clear public-interest reason to do so
Additional Scrutiny for Sensitive Stories
Any story involving minors, family members of celebrities, victims, health matters, private life, allegations or vulnerable people receives additional editorial review. Our editorial policy requires that such content be escalated to at least the Managing Editor or, when appropriate, the Editor-in-Chief. We source celebrity stories through rigorous, transparent methods. Our journalists rely on:
- official statements from publicists, representatives, record labels, studios or broadcasters
- verified public social media accounts (blue tick, official channels or confirmed by the celebrity’s representation)
- credible reporting from established news organisations, wire services and industry trade publications
- on-the-record interviews conducted by our own reporters or by other outlets with a clear chain of attribution
